HARLEQUIN PINSTRIPE CRESTED GECKO

The HARLEQUIN PINSTRIPE CRESTED GECKO (Cnemidophorus stegallii) is an exotic, territorial lizard. It lives in the jungle and has a high level of intelligence which enables it to recognize its pinky finger! Wild Crested Geckos live off of the insects they catch, green vegetables and fruit. The Harlequin Crested Gecko is a fascinating reptile that has few rivals in the exotic pet world in terms of beauty and grace. The Harlequin Crested Gecko can grow up to 10 inches, with males being larger than females. While they are essentially diurnal, these animals are most active on warm, sunny days. The crest is slightly raised during the day and flattens at night or under dim lighting conditions. The coloration of this stunning gecko has earned it the moniker ‘harlequin’, which refers to a clown face pattern.
