Gabino Viper

The Gabino viper is one of the most striking snakes in the world. Like all other vipers, it is venomous. It glides effortlessly through the grasslands at night hunting for rodents, frogs, and lizards. Once you get to know this snake, you will begin to appreciate why it is so valuable on any eco tour.

Gabino viper snakes are venomous. Their bite can be fatal, though they are calm and rarely bite humans. Their fangs can be 2 inches (5 centimeters) long, making them the longest fangs of any venomous snake.

It is the largest member of the genus Bitis, and it has the longest fangs of any venomous snake – up to 2 inches (5 cm) in length – and the highest venom yield of any snake.
